JADE is a joint venture company between SIA Engineering Company and the JAMCO Group, both industry leaders in the Aviation Industry. We provide design, engineering and certification services for aircraft interior modifications to Airlines throughout the World. We are seeking skilled and knowledgeable individuals to join our team.
Aero Design Engineer (Stress)
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to determine requirements
- Analyze of airframe strength substantiation for the installation of interior monuments.
- Calculate interface load of the monuments.
- Conduct stress analysis of monuments
- Write static test plans.
- Use appropriate classical methods and/or finite element method, and for all items above and generate quality documents for approvals
- Establish specifications and process instructions.
- Provide technical support during aircraft modifications
Requirements:
- A recognized degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering
- 2-4 yrs aircraft design or airworthiness related experience preferred
- Experience in airframe stress analysis for installation of interior monuments, such as galley, closets etc will be advantageous but not necessary
- Be able to use finite element method for stress analysis and interface load calculation.
- Engineering system experience (AutoCAD, ProE and Nastran preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
